The light does not accept 18650 or 26650 batteries due to physical diameter differences. For dive centers standardizing on 21700 across multiple XTAR models (D26 2800, D40 ZOOM), this simplifies battery inventory management.
The D26 2800 features a mechanical locking switch that prevents accidental activation in your gear bag or luggage. Rotate the switch to the locked position after each dive. For long-term storage, remove the battery and store it at approximately 50% charge in a cool, dry environment.
