Born From a
Challenge
In 2009, a distributor challenged us to engineer a 2000-lumen dive light powered by six 18650 batteries. No one had done it before. Achieving high output, reliable heat dissipation, and a smart charger capable of managing that load pushed us to build our own R&D team from the ground up.
Through countless days and nights, we delivered the XTAR D30 Howitzer alongside the WP6 charger—and that challenge became the foundation of everything we stand for today.
Since then, we have focused deeply on the flashlight industry—especially dive lights, where performance and safety are never negotiable. Every XTAR light is meticulously crafted and tested for the moments that matter most.
Divers have found lost XTAR torches still illuminating after a full year submerged at sea. Loyal users still rely on our earliest models more than a decade later.
