From July 11th to 13th, the 67th Southern Open Spearfishing Tournament, hosted by the SunCoast Seals’ Dive Club, brought together passionate divers, families, and local supporters in New Port Richey, Florida for a celebration of skill, conservation, and community spirit. XTAR was proud to be part of this meaningful tradition as an official sponsor.
For over 60 years, the SunCoast Seals’ Dive Club has upheld not only the competitive spirit of spearfishing but also a deep commitment to giving back to the local diving and marine community. This year’s event was no exception. With a special focus on lionfish removal and youth diving education, the Southern Open continues to serve as a platform for sport, stewardship, and social good.
